Sacred Spaces: How Setting Boundaries Opens Doors to God’s Best

Setting Boundaries for Healing and Growth In a world that constantly demands our attention, energy, and presence, setting boundaries isn’t just helpful—it’s essential. Recently, I made a decision that some might find difficult to understand: I chose to take a break from dating. Not because relationships are inherently problematic, but because I recognized that, in this season of my life, they were becoming a distraction from what God is calling me to focus on: healing, purpose, and personal growth. The Wisdom of Seasons Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us: “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.” Too often, we rush through life’s seasons, eager to experience everything at once. Yet there is profound wisdom in recognizing where you are and honoring the season God has placed you in. For me, this is a season of rebuilding and restoration—and I’m learning that setting boundaries around that intention isn’t weakness; it’s wisdom. The Busyness Trap I’ve no...

Love Beyond the Promise

By Chauntelle A There are moments when the desire for romantic love rises up unexpectedly—perhaps after decades of embracing singleness, content and at peace. And yet, in the quiet scroll through social media or the stillness of an evening alone, something stirs. A longing. A question. Recently, I came across a post that read, “Marriage is not the promised land.” It stopped me in my tracks. In our culture, we often elevate romantic relationships as the ultimate fulfillment—what we’re supposed to strive for, the sign that we’ve "made it." But I’m reminded that the deepest, most lasting love we can experience doesn't come from a partner, but from our Heavenly Father. Marriage is a beautiful gift, yes. Companionship is a blessing. But neither was designed to replace the role of God’s love in our lives. Human love is powerful but limited. God’s love is infinite. While human love may ebb and flow, God's love remains constant—steadfast, unshakable, and unconditional. Scri...

Day 3

I got up today and did mini work out had an epic fail of a green smoothie. And had a moment of reflection the smoothie had mangos 🥭, kale, celery sticks, apple juice 🧃 Mandarin Oranges, Arugula and Spinach. It tasted like shredded wet grass.  I mistakenly / on purpose lost that cup. But not all attempts will be great but after drinking that I text my son about reconsidering life choices. Lol I know I'm so dramatic but that's my nature stay blessed.

The Blessing of a Soft Life

The Blessing of a Soft Life Faith reveals itself most profoundly in moments of clarity, when divine perspective illuminates the path we've walked. This is one such moment. Recently, I fell into the habit of listening to Reddit posts on YouTube. What began as simple entertainment transformed into revelation as story after story of struggle washed over me. The truth struck like lightning: I've lived what many would call a soft life. For those unfamiliar, a soft life isn't about wealth—it's about a foundation of stability, comfort, and safety that many never experience. It's the privilege of facing life's challenges with resources rather than empty hands. I am not wealthy by traditional standards, but my journey has been cushioned in ways I failed to recognize. As a tour guide, security guide, and airline gate agent, my work provided not just income, but dignity and structure without crushing pressure. While others clock endless hours in punishing conditions, I...

Reclaiming My Strength: A Journey to Spiritual and Physical Health

By: Chauntelle A For years, fasting has been my Achilles' heel—a challenge I could never quite master. Despite countless attempts, the two-day mark remained an insurmountable barrier. For someone who prides herself on willpower, this struggle has been both humbling and perplexing. After all, I'm the same person who, on a New Year's whim in 2003, gave up pork—and twenty years later, that commitment stands unwavering. This kind of self-discipline has always been woven into the fabric of who I am. Yet, when it comes to fasting, something has always held me back. Until now. Why This Moment? Why This Challenge? As I stand on the threshold of a milestone birthday, I find myself contemplating not just the years behind me, but the woman I'm becoming. My relationship with food has evolved over time, and truthfully, it's become more of a crutch than a source of nourishment. Those late-night fast food runs and comfort fries? They've extracted their toll—physically, emotion...
